Prediction markets often diverge from traditional polls because traders have financial incentives to forecast accurately, while polls capture voter sentiment at a single moment. This market aggregates real-money bets from participants who research candidates and adjust positions based on new information. Comparing odds here to published polling averages can reveal where the market is pricing in factors polls may lag on, such as late-breaking campaign developments or shifts in voter enthusiasm.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares, with each share worth $1 if that candidate wins the primary. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price of each outcome reflects supply and demand among traders, meaning higher prices indicate stronger confidence in a particular candidate's chances. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices adjust in real time, allowing participants to enter or exit positions throughout the market's lifetime.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the Republican primary election concludes and results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning outcome is determined by the official primary result for Arizona Secretary of State. Until that date, traders can continue adjusting positions as campaign dynamics evolve and new information becomes available.
Key catalysts include candidate endorsements from prominent Arizona Republicans, debate performances, fundraising announcements, and shifts in voter registration or early voting patterns. Media coverage of candidate positions on election integrity or other state-level issues could reshape trader expectations. Polling releases, campaign gaffes, or unexpected candidate withdrawals would likely trigger sharp price movements. Turnout forecasts and last-minute campaign surges in specific regions may also influence final odds as the primary date approaches.
