This market will resolve according to the official closing price for Apple (AAPL) on the final day of trading of the specified week (normally Friday). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the final session of the week is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds and traditional analyst forecasts often diverge because they reflect different methodologies. Analysts typically publish price targets based on fundamental research and earnings models, while this market aggregates real-time bets from traders responding to breaking news, technical signals, and market sentiment. Prediction markets can sometimes lead or lag analyst consensus depending on information flow and trader conviction. Comparing the two reveals whether Wall Street's formal estimates align with the crowd's implicit forecast embedded in market prices.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds for each price bracket outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing their prediction of where Apple will close, and the cumulative volume in each bracket determines the implied probability displayed on the dashboard. Higher trading activity in a particular price range pushes its odds up, while reduced interest lowers them. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures the market reflects the latest information and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the final closing price for Apple stock during the week of July 6–10 is confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources reporting the official weekly close. Whichever price bracket contains the actual closing price is declared the winner, and traders holding shares in that outcome receive their payout. Resolution is automatic once the data is publicly available and verified.
Apple earnings surprises, macroeconomic data, tech sector momentum, and company-specific news can all shift this market sharply. Major announcements regarding product launches, regulatory developments, or management changes often trigger repricing across price brackets. Broader market volatility, interest rate expectations, and shifts in investor risk appetite also influence where traders expect the stock to close. Intraday technical levels and options expiration dynamics may create additional pressure or support as the week progresses, causing the odds to migrate between outcomes.
