This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Apple Inc. (AAPL) on June 15 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple Inc. (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they incorporate real-time trader conviction and incentivize accuracy through financial stakes. While equity analysts publish periodic reports with specific price forecasts, this market aggregates continuous belief updates from many participants betting their own capital. Analysts may lag in reflecting breaking news or earnings surprises, whereas prediction markets typically reprice within minutes. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish scenarios than the professional consensus.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism, with each contract representing a binary outcome—either Apple closes above the threshold or it does not. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative buy and sell orders, and traders profit by correctly predicting the June 15 close. Liquidity providers help narrow bid-ask spreads, making it easier for participants to enter and exit positions. As new information about Apple's business, earnings, or market conditions emerges, traders adjust their positions, causing prices to move dynamically.
This market resolves around Jun 15, 2026, once Apple's closing stock price on that date is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is binary: if AAPL closes above the specified price level, one outcome wins; otherwise, the other prevails. Resolution typically occurs within hours of market close, after official price data is confirmed. Traders holding winning positions receive their payout automatically, while losing positions expire worthless.
Apple's quarterly earnings reports, product announcements, and management guidance are primary catalysts that can shift this market significantly. Macroeconomic factors—interest rate decisions, inflation data, and tech sector sentiment—also influence stock valuations broadly. Competitive developments, regulatory news, and supply chain updates specific to Apple can trigger sharp repricing. Additionally, broader market corrections or rallies, analyst upgrades or downgrades, and insider trading activity may cause the odds to swing. Traders monitor all these signals continuously, adjusting positions as new information arrives before the June 15 close.
