Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) on June 30 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The dashboard for the Amazon stock price market on Polymarket displays real-time odds and historical price movements for whether AMZN will close above a specified threshold on June 30, 2026. Traders can monitor current implied probabilities, 24-hour trading volume, and order-book depth to gauge market sentiment. This live data helps participants track how expectations shift as earnings reports, macroeconomic conditions, and company announcements unfold. The interface updates continuously, allowing you to compare current odds against your own forecast and identify entry or exit opportunities throughout the trading window.

Prediction market odds reflect real-money consensus from traders betting on AMZN's June 30 close, while Wall Street analysts publish price targets and earnings estimates based on fundamental research. Markets often incorporate forward-looking sentiment faster than consensus revisions, especially around earnings surprises or macro shifts. However, analyst price targets typically extend 12 months ahead, whereas this market focuses on a single date. Comparing the two reveals whether professional forecasters and trading crowds align on near-term Amazon performance, or whether one group is pricing in risks the other has overlooked.

On Polymarket, traders buy and sell shares representing "Yes" (AMZN closes above the threshold) or "No" outcomes, with prices ranging from $0 to $1. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the collective judgment of all participants; as new information emerges—earnings announcements, analyst upgrades, or broader market moves—traders adjust their positions, shifting the odds in real time. Higher trading volume typically narrows spreads and improves price discovery, making the odds a more reliable signal of true probability.

This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once AMZN's closing price on that date is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by whether the stock closes at or above the specified price level; no further conditions apply. Resolution is automatic once the market close data is confirmed, typically within hours of the market's official close on the East Coast. Traders should monitor their positions closely as the date approaches to avoid unexpected settlement surprises.

Quarterly earnings reports, forward guidance, and management commentary are primary catalysts for AMZN price movement. Broader macro events—Federal Reserve policy shifts, recession fears, or tech-sector rotation—can also reshape sentiment. Competitive pressures, cloud-division performance, and advertising revenue trends matter significantly to long-term investors and traders alike. Regulatory developments, geopolitical shocks, or major customer wins or losses could trigger sharp repricing. Monitoring earnings calendars, macroeconomic indicators, and company news will help you anticipate volatility and adjust your position accordingly before the June 30 close.
