This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) on June 16 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual research calls. While Wall Street analysts may issue long-term price forecasts based on fundamental analysis, this market aggregates the beliefs of traders who have skin in the game on a specific date and price level. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish near-term catalysts than the broader research community expects. Both signals offer complementary perspectives on AMZN's near-term trajectory.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the price of yes and no shares always sum to $1.00. As more traders bet on one side, the price of that outcome rises and the other falls, creating a continuous price discovery mechanism. The current odds reflect the marginal trader's conviction, and larger positions can move prices more significantly. This mechanism ensures the market remains liquid and responsive to new information about AMZN's stock price trajectory.
This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the trading window closes and the event outcome is verifiable. The result will be confirmed against credible public sources to determine whether AMZN closed above the specified price level on that date. Traders who backed the correct outcome receive their winnings, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution process is automated and transparent, with no discretionary judgment involved. Participants should monitor official market announcements for any final settlement details as the date approaches.
Major catalysts that could shift odds include Amazon earnings reports, changes in cloud computing demand, competitive pressures, macroeconomic shifts affecting tech valuations, and broader market volatility. Regulatory announcements, management commentary, and shifts in consumer spending patterns also influence investor sentiment toward the stock. Geopolitical events or interest rate decisions can trigger sector-wide repricing that affects AMZN alongside peers. Traders monitor these signals closely and adjust positions accordingly, so any material news tends to move the market quickly. Smaller moves may also reflect algorithmic trading, position unwinding, or shifts in trader conviction as the resolution date draws nearer.
