This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) on July 20, 2026 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) does not trade at all during the regular session, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the specified day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. If the listed date is not a trading day under the applicable trading-hours schedule as listed on Pyth, this market will resolve 50-50. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.AMZN%2FUSD.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual research calls. While Wall Street analysts publish point estimates and rating changes on a slower cycle, this market prices in live trader conviction and updates instantly as new information emerges. Comparing the implied probability here to consensus analyst sentiment can reveal whether the crowd expects Amazon to outperform or underperform published guidance. Both signals are useful: analysts provide fundamental research, while prediction markets capture dynamic, incentivized expectations closer to the actual event date.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is represented as a separate tradable contract, and the price of each reflects the probability assigned by the market. As traders place bets, the prices adjust automatically to balance supply and demand. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, making it cheaper to enter or exit positions during periods of high activity. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures the odds remain responsive to breaking news and shifting expectations about Amazon's stock movement.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the trading day closes and Amazon's final stock price is recorded. The outcome is determined by whether AMZN closes above the specified price threshold on that date. Resolution is verified against credible public sources, such as official exchange data or widely recognized financial data providers. Once the closing price is confirmed, the market settles automatically, and traders receive payouts based on which outcome occurred. No manual intervention is required; the process is transparent and based on objective, publicly available information.
Amazon's stock price is sensitive to earnings announcements, guidance revisions, macroeconomic data, and competitive developments in cloud computing and e-commerce. Major catalysts include quarterly earnings reports, changes in interest rates or inflation expectations, and regulatory news affecting big tech. Management commentary on AWS growth, advertising revenue, and capital spending can also shift trader sentiment significantly. Broader market movements, such as shifts in the Nasdaq or tech sector rotation, often correlate with AMZN volatility. Traders monitoring this market typically watch earnings calendars, Federal Reserve communications, and Amazon-specific news to anticipate price moves before they occur.
