Resolves Jan 1, 2027
$
This event group tracks whether specific AI labs will rank #3 in the Text Arena (Overall) leaderboard with Style Control On at the end of October 2026. The resolution depends on the ranking of AI labs based on their models' performance on the specified leaderboard.
This market will resolve according to the third-highest ranked Company based on the arena.ai Text Arena (Overall) (Style Control On) when the table under the "Leaderboard" tab filtered for "Labs" is checked on October 31, 2026, 12:00 PM ET. Results from the "Lab Rank" column under the "Text Arena | Overall" Leaderboard tab at https://arena.ai/leaderboard/text/overall?rankBy=labs with style control on (Adjustments: Style Control) and filtered for "Labs" will be used to resolve this market. Note: Models marked “AutoEval” at the applicable check time will not be considered, regardless of whether they display a rank or score. AI companies will be ordered primarily by their Lab Rank at the market’s check time. If the results based on the lab ranking are ambiguous or unavailable, the relevant AI companies will be ordered according to their highest-ranking AI model in the leaderboard’s “Models” view. If two or more models are tied on rank, they will be ordered by their Arena score, including any underlying, unrounded, granular values reflected in the data below the leaderboard. If a tie still remains, alphabetical order of AI lab/company names as listed in this market group will be used as a final tiebreaker (e.g., if the two models are tied by exact arena score, “Google” would be ranked ahead of “SpaceXAI”). This market will resolve based on the company that occupies third place under this ranking. The resolution source for this market is the arena.ai Text Arena (Overall). If this resolution source is unavailable at check time, this market will remain open until the leaderboard comes back online and will resolve based on the first check after it becomes available. If it becomes permanently unavailable, this market will resolve to "Other".

On Polymarket, this market is priced through trader bets that reflect recent momentum and speculation, often diverging from traditional analyst forecasts which may rely on deeper technical evaluations or long-term trends. Analysts might weigh factors like technical benchmarks, funding announcements, or research publications, while market odds capture immediate sentiment shifts. Because prediction markets update continuously, probabilities can swing rapidly based on news or performance updates, whereas analyst reports typically release less frequently. Comparing both sources offers a balanced perspective on near-term expectations versus studied projections.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might attract more retail traders reacting quickly to news, while the other could see larger institutional positions adjusting more cautiously. This market shows 13.0 point spread between the two venues, reflecting those dynamics. Such divergence often narrows as resolution approaches, but until then, each platform’s unique activity and sentiment shape its price independently.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public sources. The result will depend on official announcements or widely reported data that clearly indicate the ranking or leadership position at that time. Traders should watch for press releases, benchmark results, or statements from recognized institutions that confirm who meets the criteria. No single source controls the determination — it emerges from broadly accepted evidence that becomes public before the deadline.
Several signals could shift probabilities before this market settles, including major benchmark releases, funding announcements, or high-profile demonstrations that showcase relative strengths. Any surprise leadership change, partnership news, or performance update from competing labs may also sway trader sentiment. Additionally, broader tech-sector trends — like regulatory shifts or investor sentiment — can indirectly affect this market by altering perceptions of competitive advantage. Keeping an eye on both technical milestones and industry news will help anticipate potential moves.
