This group asks whether WD-40 will exceed the consensus earnings per share (EPS) estimate for its next quarterly report. The markets define a clear threshold ($1.16 as of market creation) and specify how resolution will occur based on official earnings releases, with SeekingAlpha as a backup source.
As of market creation, WD-40 is estimated to release earnings on October 21, 2026. The Street consensus estimate for WD-40's GAAP EPS for the relevant quarter is $1.16 as of market creation. This market will resolve to "Yes" if WD-40 reports GAAP EPS greater than $1.16 for the relevant quarter in its next quarterly earnings release. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No." The resolution source will be the GAAP EPS listed in the company’s official earnings documents. If WD-40 releases earnings without GAAP EPS, then the market will resolve according to the GAAP EPS figure reported by SeekingAlpha. If no such figure is published within 96h of market close (4:00:00pm ET) on the day earnings are announced, the market will resolve to “No”. If the company does not release earnings within 45 calendar days of the estimated earnings date, this market will resolve to “No.” Note: Subsequent restatements, corrections, or revisions made to the initially announced GAAP EPS figure will not qualify for resolution, except in the case of obvious and immediate mistakes (e.g., fat finger errors, as with Lyft's (LYFT) earnings release in February 2024). Note: The strike prices used in these markets reflect the selected street consensus estimate for GAAP EPS as of market creation. Note: All figures will be rounded to the nearest cent using standard rounding. Note: For the purposes of this market, IFRS EPS will be treated as GAAP EPS. Note: GAAP EPS refers to diluted GAAP EPS, unless this is not published, in which case it refers to basic GAAP EPS. Note: All figures are expressed in USD, unless otherwise indicated. Note: For primarily internationally listed companies, this market refers specifically to the shares traded in the United States on U.S. stock exchanges such as the NYSE or Nasdaq. In cases where the company trades in the U.S. through an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) or American Depositary Share (ADS), this market will refer to the ADR/ADS.

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often provide a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. Analysts may be subject to biases or incentives that influence their recommendations, while prediction markets aggregate the opinions of a diverse group of traders with financial stakes in the outcome. This can lead to more accurate predictions, as traders are incentivized to assess the probability of an event realistically. While analyst consensus may predict a certain earnings outcome, this market reflects the crowd's assessment of that likelihood, potentially revealing discrepancies and offering a valuable alternative data point.
Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices for this market on Polymarket and Limitless may diverge due to several factors. Differences in user base, trading fees, and market-specific rules can all contribute to varying price discovery. Polymarket may attract a different class of trader than Limitless, leading to distinct risk assessments and, consequently, different probabilities assigned to the outcome. Furthermore, liquidity levels on each platform can influence price volatility and create temporary discrepancies. These variations are normal in decentralized prediction markets and reflect the independent price-setting mechanisms of each venue.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on whether WD-40’s reported quarterly earnings per share (EPS) exceed the consensus estimate of financial analysts at the time of the earnings release. The final price of this market will reflect whether traders correctly predicted the earnings outcome, providing insight into the power of prediction markets as forecasting tools. Traders should monitor official WD-40 financial releases for the definitive result.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 21, 2026. Any news related to WD-40’s sales, supply chain, or overall business outlook could impact trader sentiment. Broader economic indicators, such as inflation data or consumer confidence reports, could also influence expectations for corporate earnings. Unexpected announcements from competitors or changes in industry regulations could also play a role. Finally, revisions to analyst earnings estimates closer to the earnings release date will likely cause price adjustments in this market as traders react to the new information.
