Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Tesla (TSLA) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Tesla (TSLA) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Tesla (TSLA), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Tesla (TSLA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Tesla (TSLA) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market participants on Opinion see a different outlook than many traditional analysts. While some analysts predict continued growth for Tesla, this market reflects a more nuanced view. The collective wisdom of traders suggests a probability distribution that may diverge from the average analyst rating. It’s important to remember that analyst forecasts are often based on models and assumptions, while this market represents real money being put behind beliefs about the future, offering a unique perspective on potential outcomes.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Tesla’s stock will finish the week of October 5 above the specified price. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the aggregated predictions of all participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations as events unfold, providing a real-time assessment of probability.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Tesla stock on the final trading day of the week of October 5 will be checked against the market’s threshold. If the stock closes above that price, the ‘yes’ side of the market will win. If it closes at or below that price, the ‘no’ side will win. The determination will be based on widely available financial data sources.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major news regarding Tesla’s production numbers, vehicle deliveries, or technological advancements would likely cause price swings. Broader economic indicators, such as interest rate changes or shifts in the overall stock market, could also play a role. Unexpected announcements from competitors or regulatory changes impacting the electric vehicle industry are additional catalysts to watch. Any significant event affecting investor sentiment towards Tesla could move this market considerably before Oct 9, 2026.
