Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Tesla (TSLA) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Tesla (TSLA) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Tesla (TSLA), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Tesla (TSLA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Tesla (TSLA) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market participants on Opinion are expressing their views on Tesla's stock performance. These views are often compared to traditional analyst forecasts, which rely on financial modeling and company reports. However, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, potentially incorporating information and perspectives that aren't immediately reflected in standard analyses. It’s important to remember that both prediction markets and analyst forecasts represent predictions about the future, and neither guarantees accuracy. The outcome of this market will be determined by the actual stock price at the close of trading the week of October 26.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Tesla’s stock will finish the week of October 26 above the specified price. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand, meaning that if more people believe the stock will finish higher, the price will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism provides a real-time assessment of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Tesla stock (TSLA) on the final trading day of the week of October 26 will be used to determine the result. If the stock price is above the specified level, the 'yes' outcome will prevail; otherwise, the 'no' outcome will be considered the result. The resolution will be based on established financial data sources and will be publicly available.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before Oct 30, 2026. Major news regarding Tesla, such as earnings reports, new product announcements, or changes in leadership, would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic indicators, like interest rate changes or overall market sentiment, could also play a role. Unexpected events affecting the automotive industry or electric vehicle demand, such as supply chain disruptions or shifts in government regulations, could also move the market. Any significant positive or negative developments related to Tesla's business or the overall economic climate could influence trader behavior.
