This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Tesla (TSLA) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Tesla (TSLA) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Tesla (TSLA), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Tesla (TSLA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Tesla (TSLA) trades governs.

Currently, the collective wisdom of traders on Opinion offers a distinct perspective when compared to traditional analyst forecasts for Tesla. While analysts often provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects a broader range of factors, including news events, investor sentiment, and even unforeseen circumstances. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies and the ability of the prediction market to rapidly incorporate new information. It’s important to consider both sources of information when forming an opinion on Tesla’s future stock performance.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Tesla’s stock will finish the week of October 12 above the specified price. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, offering a unique insight into market expectations. Trading volume and order book depth also influence price discovery in this market.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Tesla stock on the Friday of the week of October 12 will be compared to the market’s target price. If the stock closes above that price, the ‘yes’ contracts will pay out; otherwise, the ‘no’ contracts will. The resolution will be based on official exchange data and widely accepted financial news sources to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Major news regarding Tesla’s production numbers, vehicle deliveries, or technological advancements would likely have a substantial impact. Broader economic indicators, such as inflation data or interest rate decisions, could also influence investor sentiment towards growth stocks like Tesla. Unexpected announcements from competitors, regulatory changes affecting the electric vehicle industry, or even significant shifts in overall market risk appetite could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market. Any developments impacting Tesla’s financial outlook or future prospects are worth monitoring.
