This market will resolve to "Yes" if the U.S. government launches an official website at SI.gov between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A qualifying change requires SI.gov to be publicly accessible and serving an official U.S. government website. Either a completely new website or the existing AI.gov site moved, redirected, or rebranded to SI.gov will qualify. SI.gov merely redirecting to another existing website (e.g., AI.gov) will not qualify. Placeholder or "coming soon" pages, error pages, and pages that are not publicly accessible will not qualify. Only an actual change to the websites within this market's timeframe will qualify. Announcements of a planned change, including official U.S. government announcements, as well as statements, interviews, social media posts, polls, jokes, or expressions of interest, will not qualify. Temporary redirects, temporary pages, tests, or changes to either website caused by hacks will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be the AI.gov and SI.gov websites and official information from the U.S. government, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.

Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals how collective intelligence stacks up against expert opinion regarding the SI.gov launch. While analysts may offer specific timelines and probabilities based on their research, this market aggregates the views of a diverse range of participants. Discrepancies between the two can highlight areas where the market perceives information differently than experts, or where the market is factoring in risks or opportunities that analysts haven't fully considered. It’s a fascinating way to gauge the broader sentiment surrounding the launch’s prospects.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of the event occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe SI.gov will launch by the resolution date, the higher the price of shares will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market constantly reflects the latest information and sentiment, creating a real-time probability assessment.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether the official SI.gov website is publicly accessible and functioning by that date. The determination will be based on publicly available evidence, such as archived web pages and official announcements, to ensure a transparent and objective assessment. The market will then settle based on whether the launch occurred as defined by these publicly verifiable standards.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Official announcements from the U.S. government regarding the launch timeline, or any delays in development, would be major catalysts. Unexpected technical challenges or security concerns related to the SI.gov platform could also shift the odds. Positive or negative media coverage, or statements from key stakeholders involved in the project, could influence trader sentiment. Any indication of the launch date being accelerated or postponed would likely lead to substantial movement in this market.
