Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) does not trade at all during the regular session of the final trading day of the week, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Opendoor Technologies Inc. (OPEN) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.OPEN%2FUSD.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Opendoor stock market provides real-time insights into trader sentiment. It tracks the current odds reflecting the probability of Opendoor (OPEN) finishing the week of October 19 above a certain price point. You’ll find the current price, 24-hour trading volume of $60, and overall volume of $720. This allows you to gauge market confidence and see how quickly opinions are shifting regarding the stock’s future performance. The dashboard is updated continuously as traders buy and sell contracts.

Currently, the prevailing sentiment in this market suggests a strong expectation for Opendoor’s stock performance. While traditional analyst forecasts offer opinions based on financial modeling and company reports, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. It’s important to note that prediction market odds represent what traders are *willing to bet* on, which can differ from what analysts *predict* will happen. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, risk tolerance, or interpretations of the same data. Comparing the two can provide a more nuanced view of potential outcomes.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Opendoor (OPEN) will finish the week of October 19 above a specified price. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as determined by supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy ‘yes’ contracts, the price increases, indicating growing confidence. Conversely, increased selling of ‘yes’ contracts drives the price down, signaling decreasing confidence. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of participants.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Opendoor (OPEN) stock during the week of October 19 will be assessed against the market’s threshold. If the stock closes above that level, the ‘yes’ contracts will pay out. If it closes at or below that level, the ‘no’ contracts will pay out. The resolution will be based on publicly available financial data and is not dependent on any single source or individual’s interpretation.

Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market leading up to Oct 23, 2026. Key catalysts include earnings reports from Opendoor, broader market trends affecting the real estate or technology sectors, and any significant news regarding the company’s business strategy or financial health. Unexpected economic data releases, changes in interest rates, or shifts in investor sentiment could also play a role. Positive news generally drives up the price of ‘yes’ contracts, while negative news tends to lower them. Monitoring these events will be crucial for understanding potential market movements.
