This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Microsoft (MSFT) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Microsoft (MSFT) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Microsoft (MSFT), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft (MSFT) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Microsoft (MSFT) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market participants are expressing a view on Microsoft's stock performance that may differ from traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders betting real capital. It's important to note that analysts may have varying opinions, and the market aggregates a different kind of intelligence – what people are willing to put their money on. This provides a unique perspective on potential outcomes for the Microsoft stock market.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Microsoft's stock will finish the week of October 12 above the specified price. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the stock will finish higher, the more expensive the contracts become, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market odds are always up-to-date and responsive to new information.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Microsoft stock (MSFT) on the Friday of the week of October 12 will be compared to the threshold defined in the market. If the closing price is above that level, the 'yes' side of the market wins; otherwise, the 'no' side prevails. The resolution will be based on official exchange data and widely available financial news sources.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports or product launches, would likely cause price swings. Broader economic news, including inflation data, interest rate decisions by the Federal Reserve, and overall market sentiment, could also play a role. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in investor confidence in the tech sector could also move this market. Any news that alters perceptions of Microsoft’s future growth prospects is likely to impact trading activity and the implied probability of the stock finishing higher.
