This group of markets predicts whether Micron Technology's (MU) stock price will close above specified thresholds at the end of August 2026. Each market corresponds to a different price threshold, resolving to 'Yes' if MU closes above that threshold, and 'No' otherwise.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) on the final trading day of August 2026 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) does not trade at all during the regular session of the final trading day of the month, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MU%2FUSD.
An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Micron (MU) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Micron (MU), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Micron (MU) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MU/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Micron (MU) trades governs.
Across the short_topic, prediction market odds often reflect aggregated trader sentiment rather than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may issue detailed reports with target prices and time horizons, this market pricing captures real-time betting dynamics. Traders react quickly to news, earnings reports, and macroeconomic signals, which can cause odds to shift faster than analyst updates. However, significant analyst upgrades or downgrades can also influence market sentiment, especially when major institutions adjust their positions. The contrast between these two approaches provides a valuable perspective on market expectations versus expert evaluations.
Polymarket and Opinion can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. The design and user base of each platform create natural differences in pricing. Polymarket may attract more retail traders who react swiftly to news, while Opinion could see slower, more institutional activity. Liquidity levels also vary, with Polymarket showing a volume of $12,517 versus Opinion's $0 24-hour volume, affecting price stability. Additionally, each platform's fee structure and interface can influence how users place bets, leading to divergent odds even when tracking the same event.
This market resolves around Aug 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final determination hinges on Micron’s closing price on the last trading day of August, checked against reliable financial data sources. No manual intervention is needed—once the date passes, the result is automatically settled based on publicly available market close figures.
Key signals that could shift this market include Micron’s upcoming earnings release, broader semiconductor sector news, U.S. economic data affecting tech stocks, and any regulatory announcements impacting memory prices. Geopolitical tensions or supply-chain updates may also influence trader sentiment. As Aug 31, 2026 approaches, volatility often increases, especially around major financial reports or industry events that reshape expectations for Micron’s performance.
