Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Meta (META) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Meta (META) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Meta (META), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Meta (META) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/META/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Meta (META) trades governs.

Currently, the odds reflected in this market represent a collective prediction from a diverse group of traders. These predictions are often compared to traditional analyst forecasts, which rely on financial modeling and expert opinions. It's important to note that prediction markets can sometimes offer a different perspective, as they incorporate a wider range of information and real-time sentiment. Discrepancies between this market and analyst expectations can highlight areas of disagreement or overlooked factors influencing the future price of Meta stock.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a simple supply and demand mechanism. Traders buy 'yes' shares if they believe the stock will finish above the specified price and 'no' shares if they believe it will not. As more people buy 'yes' shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price reflects the collective probability assigned to this outcome by all participants trading on Opinion. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly adapt to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing stock price of Meta (META) on the final trading day of the week of October 12 will be compared to the market's target price. If the closing price is above the target, the 'yes' shares will pay out; otherwise, the 'no' shares will pay out. The resolution will be based on official data sources and widely accepted financial reporting standards.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major news regarding Meta’s earnings, product launches, or regulatory developments would likely cause price swings. Broader economic indicators, such as inflation reports or interest rate decisions, could also impact the stock price and, consequently, this market. Unexpected events affecting the technology sector as a whole, or even global market sentiment, could also play a role. Any significant shift in investor confidence regarding Meta’s future prospects could drive trading activity and alter the odds.
