Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Meta (META) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Meta (META) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Meta (META), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Meta (META) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/META/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Meta (META) trades governs.

Currently, it’s important to note that this market represents the collective prediction of traders on Opinion. These predictions are often compared to traditional analyst forecasts, but can differ significantly. While analysts may base their predictions on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects real-money wagers, potentially incorporating a wider range of information and anticipating unexpected events. The question of whether prediction markets outperform analyst forecasts is an ongoing area of research, but they offer a unique perspective on potential outcomes.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Meta’s stock will close above the target price by Oct 30, 2026. The price of these contracts reflects the probability of that outcome, as determined by supply and demand. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the stock will close higher, the more expensive the contracts become, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism creates a real-time assessment of market expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Meta (META) stock will be checked against the specified target price on that date. If the stock closes at or above that price, the market will resolve positively; otherwise, it will resolve negatively. The resolution will be based on publicly available data from a recognized financial exchange.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 30, 2026. Major earnings reports from Meta, announcements regarding new products or services, changes in the overall economic climate, and broader market trends in the technology sector are all potential catalysts. Unexpected news events, such as regulatory changes or significant shifts in investor sentiment, could also cause substantial price movements. Any information that alters perceptions of Meta’s future performance has the potential to shift the odds in this market.
