On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares indicating they believe RevPAR will be above the threshold, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven entirely by supply and demand from traders on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official Q3 worldwide RevPAR figure for Marriott is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the reported RevPAR data released by Marriott International, Inc. Traders will be able to see the final result and any associated payouts on Polymarket following the official announcement. This market provides a way to forecast and profit from this key financial metric.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding Marriott’s booking trends, occupancy rates, or average daily rates could shift trader sentiment. Broader economic indicators, such as consumer spending data or travel industry reports, will also be closely watched. Unexpected events impacting the travel sector, like geopolitical instability or a resurgence of health concerns, could also cause substantial price movements in this market. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for traders looking to capitalize on changing expectations.
