This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Google (GOOGL) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Google (GOOGL) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Google (GOOGL), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Google (GOOGL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Google (GOOGL) trades governs.

Currently, it’s difficult to directly compare the odds in this market to specific analyst forecasts without a standardized benchmark. However, prediction markets often aggregate diverse opinions and can reflect a ‘wisdom of the crowd’ effect, potentially offering a different perspective than individual analyst reports. While analysts may focus on fundamental factors, this market incorporates a broader range of information and expectations, including sentiment and potential unforeseen events. It’s important to remember that both prediction markets and analyst forecasts are probabilistic and subject to error.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Google’s stock price will finish the week of October 12 above the specified level. The price of these contracts reflects the collective probability assigned by traders. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price dynamically adjusts, providing a real-time assessment of market expectations. The current volume of $0 indicates the level of interest in this particular outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing stock price of Google (GOOGL) on the final trading day of the week of October 12 will be compared against the market’s threshold. The resolution will be based on publicly available data from a recognized financial exchange, ensuring transparency and objectivity. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their predictions aligned with the actual closing price.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or GDP figures, could impact overall market sentiment and affect Google’s stock price. Company-specific news, including earnings announcements, product launches, or regulatory developments, would also be key catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in investor risk appetite could also drive price movements. Any news that alters expectations about Google’s future performance has the potential to move this market substantially before Oct 16, 2026.
