These markets ask whether Apple's (AAPL) stock price will finish the week of November 2nd above a specified threshold. Resolution hinges on the closing price of AAPL as reported by Pyth, with specific fallback mechanisms if Pyth data is unavailable.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Close price for Apple (AAPL) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday) is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the two specified prices are exactly equal, this market will resolve to "No". Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. If Apple (AAPL) does not trade at all during the regular session of the final trading day of the week, the market will resolve 50-50. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Apple (AAPL) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.AAPL%2FUSD.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Apple (AAPL) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Apple (AAPL) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Apple (AAPL), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Apple (AAPL) trades governs.
Prediction market odds often represent a 'wisdom of the crowd' perspective, potentially offering a different outlook than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts rely on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects what traders are willing to bet on, incorporating a wider range of information and anticipating potential surprises. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies and biases. It's valuable to consider both prediction market probabilities and analyst opinions when forming a comprehensive view of Apple’s potential performance.
Polymarket and Opinion can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Opinion may differ due to variations in user base, trading activity, and market sentiment. Polymarket might attract a different type of trader than Opinion, leading to differing opinions on the future price of Apple stock. Additionally, the liquidity and volume on each platform can influence price discovery. For example, a large trade on Polymarket could shift the price there, while Opinion might react more slowly. These factors contribute to the observed price discrepancies in this market.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Apple stock price at the close of trading on the final day of the week of November 2 is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider. Traders will then be able to see whether their predictions aligned with the actual market performance, and payouts will be distributed accordingly based on the final outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Nov 6, 2026. Major Apple product announcements, earnings reports, or unexpected news regarding the broader economic climate could all trigger price movements. Shifts in investor sentiment towards technology stocks, changes in interest rates, or geopolitical events could also play a role. Any news impacting Apple’s financial outlook or competitive position will likely be reflected in the trading activity and, therefore, the odds within this market.
