This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Amazon (AMZN) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Amazon (AMZN) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Amazon (AMZN), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Amazon (AMZN) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market participants are expressing a view on Amazon's stock performance that may differ from traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts provide price targets based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their capital at risk. Discrepancies can arise due to differing interpretations of information, risk tolerance, or the inclusion of factors not typically considered by analysts. It’s important to note that this market represents a forward-looking probability, not a precise price prediction, and may incorporate information not yet reflected in analyst reports.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of Amazon finishing the week of November 2 above a certain price point, as perceived by the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of contracts representing that outcome will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether Amazon’s (AMZN) stock price closes above a predetermined level during the week of November 2. The exact closing price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will be able to see the confirmed outcome on Opinion following the resolution date, and payouts will be distributed accordingly.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or GDP figures, could influence investor sentiment towards Amazon and the broader market. Company-specific news, including earnings announcements, product launches, or changes in leadership, would also be key catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in regulatory policy could also impact the stock price and, consequently, the trading activity in this market. Any news that alters the perceived future prospects of Amazon has the potential to shift the odds.
