Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Amazon (AMZN) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Amazon (AMZN) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Amazon (AMZN), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Amazon (AMZN) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Amazon (AMZN) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically provide point estimates or ranges, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing a probability distribution of potential outcomes. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as analysts may be influenced by biases or short-term factors, while the prediction market incorporates a broader range of information and perspectives. Examining these differences can offer valuable insights into market sentiment and potential blind spots in conventional analysis.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Amazon’s stock price will close above the target. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of the event occurring. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand, meaning that as more people buy contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. This creates a real-time assessment of the likelihood of the outcome, driven entirely by trader activity.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Amazon (AMZN) stock on the final trading day of October will be checked against the target price. If the closing price is above the target, the market will resolve positively; otherwise, it will resolve negatively. The resolution will be based on official data from a recognized financial exchange, ensuring an objective and transparent outcome.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or GDP figures, could impact overall market sentiment and affect Amazon’s stock price. Company-specific news, including earnings reports, product announcements, or changes in leadership, would also be key catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in consumer spending patterns could also play a role. Any news that alters investor expectations regarding Amazon’s future performance has the potential to move this market substantially before Oct 30, 2026.
