The 2026 Midterm election for the United States Senate is scheduled to occur on November 3, 2026. This market will resolve according to the candidate John Cornyn endorses in that election. An endorsement is defined as a public statement expressing definitive support for a candidate in a race. The statement must be made publicly (including through press releases, interviews, speeches, social media, campaign events, or other public communications) and must clearly identify the candidate and be made in the context of the race. If John Cornyn does not announce an endorsement by November 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Nobody". The resolution source for this market will be official information from John Cornyn and his representatives; however, a consensus of credible reporting on Conryn's endorsement may also be used.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional polling data. While polls attempt to capture a snapshot of current voter intentions, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing what traders believe will *actually* happen. Discrepancies can arise due to factors polls may not fully account for, such as strategic voting, voter turnout, or unforeseen events. It's important to remember that both polls and prediction markets have their limitations, and neither is a perfect predictor of the future. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the race.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether John Cornyn publicly endorses a candidate in the Texas Senate election, or if he does not endorse anyone. The market will determine the winning outcome based on what is widely reported by reputable news sources following the election. The resolution process focuses on verifying the publicly stated endorsement, or lack thereof, from Senator Cornyn.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Any public statements from John Cornyn regarding the Texas Senate race, even if not a formal endorsement, would likely cause price fluctuations. Major campaign developments for the leading candidates, such as significant fundraising announcements or policy shifts, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected political endorsements from other influential figures in Texas, or shifts in broader political sentiment, could also influence the market. Finally, any news regarding Cornyn’s health or political future could also move this market.
