This market will resolve according to the company that owns the model that has the third-highest arena rank (Style Control On) based on the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard (https://lmarena.ai/) when the table under the "Leaderboard" tab is checked on July 31, 2026, 12:00 PM ET. Results from the "Rank" column under the "Text Arena | Overall" Leaderboard tab at https://lmarena.ai/leaderboard/text with style control on will be used to resolve this market. Models will be ordered primarily by their leaderboard rank at the market’s check time. If two or more models are tied on rank, they will be ordered by their Arena score, including any underlying, unrounded, granular values reflected in the data below the leaderboard. If a tie remains, alphabetical order of company names as listed in this market group will be used as a final tiebreaker (e.g., if the two models are tied by exact arena score, “Google” would be ranked ahead of “xAI”). This market will resolve based on the company that occupies third place under this ranking system. The resolution source for this market is the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard found at https://lmarena.ai/. If this resolution source is unavailable at check time, this market will remain open until the leaderboard comes back online and will resolve based on the first check after it becomes available. If it becomes permanently unavailable, this market will resolve based on another resolution source.

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader beliefs about which company will rank third in AI models by end of July 2026, often diverging from published analyst reports and industry rankings. Markets price in real-time information and trader conviction, whereas analyst forecasts typically update on longer cycles and may rely on different evaluation criteria. Comparing Polymarket implied probabilities to major tech analyst firms' AI model rankings can reveal where the market sees gaps in expert consensus. Such divergences often signal either underpriced or overpriced outcomes relative to expert opinion.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, each company candidate is priced as a separate outcome contract, with the implied probability of each reflecting trader demand and supply. Prices move as new information about AI model performance, capability benchmarks, and company announcements emerge. The market weights factors such as model release timelines, benchmark test results, and industry perception of which firms are advancing toward third-place ranking. Traders buy or sell shares to express conviction, and the contract price directly translates to the market's current odds for that company holding the #3 position at resolution.
The market resolves on Jul 31, 2026, marking the end of July 2026. Resolution hinges on identifying which company holds the third-ranked AI model at that moment. The determination will rely on established AI model rankings, performance benchmarks, and industry consensus at the resolution date. Traders should monitor official model leaderboards, capability assessments, and any pre-specified ranking criteria outlined in the market's resolution rules to understand how the outcome will be adjudicated.
Major AI model releases, benchmark test results, and capability announcements from leading companies will significantly influence market pricing. Shifts in model performance rankings, new model launches, or unexpected breakthroughs from emerging competitors could reshape expectations about which company lands in third place. Regulatory developments, funding announcements, and partnerships affecting AI development speed may also move odds. Additionally, changes in how the AI community ranks and evaluates models—such as new evaluation standards or public leaderboard updates—could alter trader conviction about each company's final standing by end of July 2026.
