An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Microsoft (MSFT) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Microsoft (MSFT), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft (MSFT) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Microsoft (MSFT) trades governs.

Currently, the prevailing sentiment in this market suggests a higher probability of Microsoft’s stock price increasing, as indicated by the highest probability outcome. This contrasts with typical analyst forecasts, which often provide a range of potential outcomes with varying probabilities. It's important to remember that analyst forecasts are based on models and assumptions, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. The degree to which this market diverges from standard financial analysis can be a valuable signal in itself.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different price levels for Microsoft stock. The prices of these contracts reflect the market’s collective assessment of the probability of each price level being reached. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, meaning that if more traders believe the price will go up, the contracts representing higher prices will become more expensive. This creates a real-time forecast of future price movements, driven by the incentives of those participating.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Microsoft (MSFT) stock during the week of October 5, 2026, will be used to determine the winning outcome. The market will then pay out to those who correctly predicted the price range. It’s important to note that the resolution will rely on publicly available data and established financial reporting standards, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome for this market.
