An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Microsoft (MSFT) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Microsoft (MSFT), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Microsoft (MSFT) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MSFT/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Microsoft (MSFT) trades governs.

Currently, analysts have a wide range of price targets for Microsoft in October 2026, reflecting uncertainty about future growth and market conditions. However, prediction markets like this one often distill complex information into a single, aggregated forecast. While analyst opinions are valuable, this market represents what traders are *willing to bet* on, providing a different perspective. It’s a real-money signal, unlike polls or surveys, and can sometimes offer a more accurate view of potential outcomes.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different Microsoft stock prices. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that price being reached in October 2026, as determined by supply and demand. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular price is likely, the higher the contract price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the collective wisdom of its participants.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Microsoft stock price on that date is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final price will be determined by a regularly published source for MSFT stock values, such as a major financial exchange. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual price will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for incorrect prices will not. This ensures a clear and objective determination of the market’s outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major announcements from Microsoft regarding new products, earnings reports, or strategic partnerships would be key catalysts. Broader economic trends, such as interest rate changes or shifts in the technology sector, could also influence investor sentiment. Unexpected geopolitical events or significant changes in the competitive landscape—for example, a major breakthrough by a competitor—could also move this market. Any news that alters the perceived future prospects of Microsoft is likely to affect trading activity.
