Frequently asked questions

On Opinion, the dashboard for the Meta stock price market tracks the current implied probabilities for various price points, along with a price history chart showing how expectations have shifted over time. You can also see the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $0, and the total volume traded to date, which is $0. This allows traders to quickly assess market sentiment and identify potential opportunities. The dashboard provides a visual representation of where the crowd believes the stock price will land in October 2026.

Currently, the prevailing sentiment in this market suggests a higher probability of Meta’s stock price increasing than decreasing. This contrasts with some analyst forecasts, which exhibit a more cautious outlook, anticipating moderate growth or even a potential decline. However, it’s important to remember that analyst forecasts are often based on traditional financial modeling and may not fully incorporate the wisdom of the crowd. This market provides a real-time assessment of expectations, reflecting the collective judgment of participants who have skin in the game.

On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different price outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular price will be hit, the higher the contract price will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of participants.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Meta (META) stock during the week of October 26, 2026, will be used to determine the winning outcome. The market will settle based on this publicly available data, ensuring a transparent and objective resolution process. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their predicted price range aligns with the actual closing price.

Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major announcements from Meta regarding new products, user growth, or financial performance would undoubtedly move the market. Broader economic trends, such as interest rate changes or shifts in the tech sector, could also play a role. Furthermore, significant news related to Meta’s competitors could indirectly affect investor sentiment and, consequently, this market.
