An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Apple (AAPL) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Apple (AAPL), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Apple (AAPL) trades governs.

Currently, prediction markets often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically provide a single point estimate or range for future stock prices, this market aggregates the collective wisdom of many traders, representing a probability distribution of potential outcomes. It's common to see discrepancies between the most likely outcome suggested by this market and the consensus price target from financial analysts covering Apple. These differences can stem from varying assumptions, risk tolerances, and access to information.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the future Apple stock price. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that price level being reached. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The current implied probabilities are shaped by the supply and demand for these contracts, offering a real-time assessment of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the Apple stock price during the week of October 12, 2026, is verifiable from credible public reporting. The specific price will be determined based on publicly available financial data from trusted sources, representing the average closing price for that week. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome, reflecting the actual performance of Apple’s stock during the specified period.
Numerous factors could significantly impact this market. Major announcements from Apple regarding new products, financial performance, or strategic shifts would likely cause substantial price movements. Broader economic conditions, such as interest rate changes, inflation reports, or recessions, could also influence investor sentiment towards Apple and its stock. Geopolitical events, regulatory changes affecting the technology sector, and even competitor actions could all contribute to shifts in the probabilities reflected in this market.
