These markets track whether the USDSEK exchange rate will exceed specific thresholds at a precise future moment. Each market has a different threshold, allowing participants to speculate on the exact level of the exchange rate at that time. The outcome depends solely on the rate at the specified time and date.
All markets resolve based on the USDSEK exchange rate's opening candlestick value at 5pm ET on October 16, 2026, as published by Pyth. Each market has a unique threshold; if the rate exceeds its respective threshold at that time, the market resolves to Yes, otherwise to No. Revisions to the exchange rate after the expiration time are disregarded. Values are rounded to four decimal places, and if no data is available from Pyth at the exact time, the most recent available value is used. The resolution strictly adheres to the specified thresholds and the data provided by Pyth at the designated moment.
Currently, prediction market odds reflect a collective assessment of whether the USDSEK exchange rate will be above 9.999 at the specified time. These odds represent the wisdom of the crowd, aggregating diverse perspectives on factors influencing the exchange rate. Compared to traditional analyst forecasts, this market offers a real-time, continuously updated view based on actual money at stake. While analyst opinions can be valuable, this market provides a dynamic measure of belief, changing as new information emerges and traders adjust their positions. It’s a different way to gauge expectations for the USDSEK exchange rate.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the USDSEK exchange rate. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts expecting the USDSEK to be above 9.999, the price of those contracts will increase, and the implied probability will rise. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market adjusts dynamically to new information and changing sentiment, offering a real-time assessment of the potential movement of the USDSEK exchange rate.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the USDSEK exchange rate at 5:00 PM EDT on October 16th is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider. If the USDSEK exchange rate is above 9.999 at the specified time, contracts predicting that outcome will pay out $1.00 per contract. If the rate is at or below 9.999, those contracts will be worth $0.00. The market’s resolution is based on objective data, ensuring a clear and verifiable outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major economic releases from the United States or Sweden, such as inflation reports, employment data, or GDP figures, could influence the USDSEK exchange rate. Unexpected policy announcements from the Federal Reserve or the Riksbank (Sweden's central bank) regarding interest rates or monetary policy would also be key drivers. Geopolitical events or shifts in global risk sentiment could also cause fluctuations. Any news impacting the relative strength of the US dollar or the Swedish krona has the potential to move this market before Oct 16, 2026.
