This market will resolve to “Yes” if Ukraine signs any written instrument (e.g., treaty, ceasefire/armistice, framework/“roadmap,” exchange of letters, or mediated agreement text) that: (i) includes both Ukraine and the Russian Federation as parties, and (ii) either ends hostilities/establishes a ceasefire or commits both sides to a defined process toward ending the war (i.e., stated objective of peace/normalization plus principles, steps, and/or a timetable) by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only Ukraine’s signature is required; Russia’s signature or ratification is not. Localized, temporary, or issue-specific arrangements—such as airstrike-limitation or deconfliction protocols, humanitarian pauses, evacuation corridors, prisoner-exchange or trade/export arrangements, border/DMZ adjustments, or ceasefires limited to a particular sector/front/municipality—will not qualify. The document must bear a wet-ink or officially issued electronic signature of an authorized Ukrainian representative. Unsigned agreements (e.g., the 2023 Ohrid arrangement) will not qualify regardless of if they are otherwise officially enacted. The primary resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.

Currently, this market implies a much lower probability of a peace deal than most public polling averages suggest. While polls often reflect broader public or expert sentiment, prediction market odds incorporate real-money trading and can react more quickly to geopolitical developments, news leaks, or diplomatic signals that might not yet be captured in traditional surveys.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders actively set the price through buying and selling shares that represent either outcome. The current implied chance reflects the balance of buy and sell orders, with volume of $28 in the last 24 hours showing how much trading activity is happening. Prices can shift rapidly with new geopolitical developments.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. A formal peace agreement signed by both Ukraine and Russia before October 31 will settle the market as `Yes`; otherwise, it will settle as `No`.
Key signals include official diplomatic announcements, high-level meetings between Ukrainian and Russian representatives, major shifts in military positions, international broker statements, or economic incentives offered by third parties. Any credible report suggesting progress toward negotiations could push odds upward, while continued hostilities or breakdowns in talks are likely to drive them down before Nov 1, 2026.
