Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi markets resolve 'Yes' if either major party wins, while Polymarket markets focus on predicting the specific winning party.Hero tip: Be aware that Kalshi's markets are effectively a bet on whether the election will be won by a major party candidate. Polymarket offers more specific bets on each party's chances.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Resolves based on the party of the winning candidate, with a 'Other' outcome if results are not known by July 31, 2027. Resolution relies on a consensus of credible reporting.
  • Kalshi: Resolves to 'Yes' if *either* a Republican or Democrat is sworn in. This effectively means any standard election outcome will resolve the market to 'Yes'.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
