Steam publishes its Weekly Top Sellers chart every Tuesday at 1:00 AM Pacific Time, ranking the top 100 products in the United States by revenue over the prior week. This market will resolve according to the product occupying the #2 position on the Weekly Top Sellers chart for the United States, for the week of October 27 - November 3, 2026. Products will be ranked by their position on the specified chart. If two or more products are tied for any position, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the products' listed titles. This market will resolve to the product that occupies the specified position after applying this ranking. This market will resolve as soon as the relevant chart is published. If the Weekly Top Sellers chart for the specified week is not published within 7 calendar days of the expected publish time, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source for this market will be the official Steam Weekly Top Sellers chart for the United States for the week of October 27 - November 3, 2026 (https://store.steampowered.com/charts/topsellers/US/2026-10-27), or through other official Steam/Valve channels.

Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals how collective intelligence differs from expert opinions. Currently, the most likely outcome in this market, as indicated by traders on Polymarket, aligns with some analysts who predict strong sales for established franchises. However, there are instances where the market assigns a higher probability to a less-discussed title than many analysts anticipate. This divergence often stems from factors not easily quantifiable in traditional analysis, such as community hype or unexpected marketing pushes. It's a fascinating look at the wisdom of the crowd versus individual expertise.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the likelihood of each game topping the Steam charts. This creates a dynamic pricing system that responds to new information and changing sentiment. The market's depth and volume indicate the level of confidence traders have in their predictions.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official Steam sales charts for the week of October 27 - November 3, 2026, will be used to determine which game achieved the highest sales. The market will settle based on the publicly available data released by Steam, establishing the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final results.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Nov 4, 2026. Major game releases, unexpected discounts, or prominent streamer endorsements could all shift the odds. Positive or negative reviews impacting a game’s reputation can also influence trading activity. Furthermore, announcements regarding updates or DLC for existing games could boost their sales potential. Any news that alters public perception of a game’s popularity or value is likely to be reflected in the prices on Polymarket, creating opportunities for informed traders.
