Polymarket
This market tracks what SpaceX's market capitalization will be at the closing price on the final trading day of whichever calendar month the company completes its Initial Public Offering. On Polymarket, the leading outcome—that SpaceX's market cap will fall between $2.0 trillion and $2.5 trillion—stands at 85.5%, with a $1.5 trillion to $2.0 trillion range at 10.0%. Resolution will use the official closing price from the primary exchange's listing page or another reliable source if unavailable. Watch for SpaceX's IPO announcement, as resolution hinges on the last trading day of the month in which that IPO occurs.
This market will resolve based on SpaceX's market capitalization at the closing price on the last trading day of the calendar month in which SpaceX completes its Initial Public Offering (IPO). The IPO refers to the first sale of stock by SpaceX to the public on any recognized stock exchange. If no SpaceX IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "No IPO before 2028". Market capitalization expresses the monetary value of a company’s outstanding shares, stated in its pricing currency. It is calculated as the number of shares outstanding multiplied by the closing share price on the last trading day of the calendar month in which SpaceX completes its IPO. If the relevant value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Resolution will be based on the primary exchange’s official listing page. In the event that the relevant figure is not displayed, another reliable source will be used. In the event of an interruption in the course of the normal trading session on SpaceX’s last trading day of the calendar month in which SpaceX completes its IPO (e.g., a circuit breaker or half-day), the market will resolve according to the official closing price of the abbreviated session. If no such official closing price is published, the market will resolve according to the next trading day on which an official closing price is published, treating that as the last trading day of the calendar month in which SpaceX completes its IPO.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money trader conviction and often diverge from traditional analyst estimates. While equity research firms may publish valuation ranges based on comparable company multiples and discounted cash flow models, prediction markets aggregate dispersed information from thousands of participants with direct financial incentives. Analysts typically focus on fundamental metrics, whereas prediction markets incorporate geopolitical risk, regulatory uncertainty, and market sentiment. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd is pricing in more optimism or caution than Wall Street consensus, offering a contrarian signal for informed investors.
The market resolves on Jul 1, 2026. Resolution hinges on SpaceX's official closing market capitalization on the final day of the IPO month, as reported by major financial data providers. The outcome is determined by which predefined valuation bracket the closing price falls into. Traders should monitor official SEC filings, company announcements, and market data feeds as the resolution date approaches to ensure accuracy. Once the market resolves, payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome share.
Key catalysts include SpaceX's IPO filing and roadshow investor feedback, which signal demand and valuation expectations. Regulatory developments from the FAA or FCC affecting launch licenses can shift investor sentiment. Competitor announcements, particularly from Blue Origin or other space companies, influence relative valuations. Macroeconomic shifts—interest rates, tech sector performance, venture capital appetite—directly impact IPO pricing. Starship test results, customer contract wins, and geopolitical tensions affecting space commerce all move odds. Media coverage of Elon Musk or SpaceX operations can trigger rapid repricing as new information reaches traders on Polymarket.
