This event tracks the performance of a major stock market index at a specific future date and time, allowing participants to speculate on whether the index will surpass certain thresholds. The outcome depends solely on the index's value at the predetermined moment, reflecting broader economic expectations and market sentiment.
All markets share the same resolution criteria, focusing on whether the S&P 500 index value at 11am EDT on October 5, 2026, exceeds a specified threshold. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging incrementally from 7,500 to 7,795. If the index value at the exact resolution time is greater than the respective threshold (e.g., above 7,499.9999 for the first market, above 7,794.9999 for the last), that market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No.' All markets close on October 5, 2026, and expire either when the index value is first officially released or one week after the resolution date, whichever comes first. The Exchange has applied modifications to the source agency and underlying for index markets as per the Kalshi Rulebook.
