This event tracks the performance of a major stock market index at a specific future date and time, allowing participants to speculate on whether the index will surpass certain thresholds. The outcome depends solely on the index's value at the exact moment of evaluation, reflecting broader economic expectations and market sentiment.
All markets share the same evaluation criteria, requiring the S&P 500 index value at 10am EDT on October 5, 2026, to be compared against specific numerical thresholds. If the index value exceeds the threshold defined in each market (e.g., above 7,499.9999 for one market, above 7,504.9999 for another, and so on up to above 7,794.9999), that market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No.' All markets close on October 5, 2026, and expire either when the index value is first officially released or one week after the specified date, whichever occurs first. The Exchange has applied modifications to the Source Agency and Underlying for indices markets as per the Kalshi Rulebook.
