Resolves Nov 3, 2026
Time left: 01d:00h:37m
$
This market will resolve according to the outcome of the United States Senate general elections in Ohio, Iowa, and Maine (including the special election in Ohio) that are currently scheduled for November 3, 2026, inclusive of any potential runoffs. A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed affiliation or if they are the nominee of that party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. If the results of one of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other". For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins all races. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where participants buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust accordingly, creating a dynamic and responsive market. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s pricing is driven entirely by supply and demand, with no external factors influencing the odds beyond the collective judgment of traders.
This market resolves around Nov 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which party controls a majority of seats in the United States Senate following the 2026 midterm elections. The final seat distribution will be verified against credible public sources, such as official election results reported by state and federal authorities. The resolution will reflect the actual composition of the Senate following the election, regardless of pre-election predictions or expectations.
Several signals and events could significantly impact this market. Major economic shifts, unexpected candidate announcements, significant political endorsements, and key legislative developments could all influence trader sentiment. Polling data releases, particularly in the states of Ohio, Iowa, and Maine, will be closely watched. Changes in national political trends, such as shifts in presidential approval ratings or public opinion on key issues, could also play a role. Any unforeseen events, like major scandals or geopolitical crises, could introduce volatility and shift the odds in this market.
