Description

Parliamentary elections to elect all 127 seats of the National Assembly of Quebec are scheduled to take place in Quebec on October 5, 2026. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Parti vert du Québec (PVQ) wins at least one seat in the National Assembly of Quebec as a result of this election. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". This market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by candidates whose political affiliation is listed as the specified party in the official election results, not any coalition or parliamentary group of which the party may be part. Seats won by candidates listed under any other affiliation will not be counted, regardless of any endorsement or association with the specified party. Any post-election change in seat ownership or party affiliation, including floor crossings, resignations, or by-elections, will not be considered. If the results of this election are not known definitively by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by Élections Québec (https://www.electionsquebec.qc.ca).

Frequently asked questions

Currently, this market shows a very high probability of the PVQ not winning a seat, reflecting a sharp contrast with most public polling averages, which tend to give the party a marginal but still slim chance. Prediction markets often price in factors beyond raw vote shares, such as campaign dynamics, strategic voting, and regional fluctuations. Because markets aggregate real-money bets, they can react faster to breaking news or shifts in voter intent than traditional surveys, making this market a complementary signal to watch alongside polls.

This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The final determination will hinge on official vote tallies showing whether any candidate from the Parti Vert du Québec has secured enough votes to win a seat in the National Assembly. As the election date approaches, any last-minute swings in voter preferences or campaign events could affect the market’s direction before settlement.

Key events that could shift this market include debates performance, controversial policy announcements, endorsements from influential figures, and any surge or decline in public polling for the Parti Vert du Québec. Regional voting trends, especially in districts where the PVQ fields strong candidates, will also play a major role. Additionally, broader political developments—such as economic updates or leadership changes in competing parties—may cause traders to adjust their bets, moving the market closer to or further from a resolution.
