Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the QQQ/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/qqq-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink QQQ/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-22T18:15:00Z

Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the QQQ direction market tracks the current odds of the QQQ going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have shifted over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $671, and the total volume traded to date, which is $655. This provides a clear overview of market sentiment and activity surrounding the anticipated movement of the QQQ index during the specified timeframe. The dashboard is updated frequently to reflect the latest trading activity.

Currently, it's important to note that prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of information than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may base their predictions on fundamental and technical analysis, this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, representing what traders believe will happen based on all available information, including potentially non-public insights. Discrepancies can arise if market participants have access to information not yet reflected in analyst reports, or if they interpret existing data differently. Comparing this market to prevailing analyst expectations can provide a broader perspective on potential outcomes.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the QQQ’s direction. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of the QQQ going up or down, as determined by supply and demand. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the QQQ will rise, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of participants.

This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the direction of the QQQ will be determined by comparing its price at 2:15 PM ET to its price at 2:30 PM ET on October 22nd. If the price at 2:30 PM ET is higher than at 2:15 PM ET, the 'up' outcome will be declared the winner; otherwise, the 'down' outcome will prevail. The resolution will be based on publicly available market data from a reputable financial data provider.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 22, 2026. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or GDP figures, could shift investor sentiment and impact the QQQ. Unexpected news regarding interest rate policy from the Federal Reserve would also likely cause movement. Company-specific news related to the largest holdings within the QQQ, like Apple or Microsoft, could also drive trading activity. Geopolitical events or broader market risk-off sentiment could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
