This market will resolve to "Up" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the QQQ/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/qqq-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink QQQ/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-19T17:00:00Z

Comparing prediction market odds to analyst forecasts reveals interesting insights into collective intelligence versus expert opinion. While analysts often provide specific price targets and recommendations, this market represents a weighted average of many individual predictions. Generally, prediction markets can be more accurate than individual analyst forecasts, especially in the short term, as they incorporate a wider range of information and perspectives. However, significant discrepancies can sometimes occur, potentially indicating overlooked factors or biases in either the market or the analyst community.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the QQQ’s direction. The price of these contracts reflects the implied probability of the QQQ going up or down. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand, meaning increased buying pressure will raise the price (and the implied probability of an increase), while increased selling pressure will lower it. This creates a real-time assessment of market sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the direction of the QQQ will be determined by comparing its price at 1:00 PM ET to 1:15 PM ET on October 19th to its price immediately prior to that window. An increase signifies an 'Up' resolution, while a decrease signifies a 'Down' resolution. The final price will be sourced from standard financial data providers and publicly available market data.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before its resolution. Major economic data releases, such as inflation reports or employment figures, often influence the QQQ's direction. Unexpected news regarding technology companies heavily weighted in the QQQ, like Apple or Microsoft, could also cause substantial price swings. Geopolitical events, shifts in interest rate expectations, and overall market sentiment are other factors that could impact trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any surprise announcement or unforeseen circumstance has the potential to alter trader perceptions.
