This market on Kalshi tracks whether the hourly rental cost of NVIDIA's H200 AI accelerator chip will remain above $2.39 per hour through mid-2026. Currently, the leading outcome—that H200 compute pricing stays above this threshold—stands at 96.0% probability. The market resolves based on official pricing data as of June 30, 2026, reflecting potential shifts in cloud computing costs for high-performance AI infrastructure. Watch for announcements of competing accelerator chips or major shifts in cloud provider pricing strategies leading up to the June 30, 2026 resolution date.
Resolution is based on the hourly compute pricing for NVIDIA H200 as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) by June 30, 2026. The market resolves Yes if the reported value exceeds the specified price threshold. The USD iteration of the Ornn index is used unless explicitly stated otherwise. Values are rounded to two decimal places. Revisions to the underlying data made after the expiration date are not accounted for in resolution. If no data is available for the time period by the Expiration Date, all strikes excluding "No data" or "None" resolve to No.
Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect real-money trader expectations about H200 pricing, which often diverge from traditional analyst reports. While equity research teams may publish long-term GPU pricing models based on historical trends and manufacturing costs, prediction markets incorporate forward-looking sentiment from participants with direct exposure to NVIDIA's product roadmap and cloud infrastructure spending patterns. Comparing market-implied probabilities to published analyst price targets can reveal whether traders expect faster or slower pricing erosion than consensus estimates suggest.
The market resolves on Jul 1, 2026. Resolution hinges on verifiable H200 compute pricing data from major cloud providers—such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure—as of June 30, 2026. The outcome is determined by whether the per-hour price for H200 compute instances exceeds $1.99 at that time. Official pricing lists and public rate cards from leading infrastructure vendors serve as the reference point for settlement.
Key catalysts include NVIDIA's H200 production ramp and yield improvements, which directly affect supply and cost structure. Competitive GPU launches from AMD or other vendors could pressure pricing downward. Cloud provider pricing announcements and shifts in enterprise AI demand will influence how aggressively providers discount H200 capacity. Macroeconomic conditions, semiconductor supply-chain disruptions, and changes in data-center capex budgets also matter. Regulatory actions affecting AI compute access or export restrictions could alter pricing dynamics. Quarterly earnings calls and guidance from major cloud infrastructure operators will provide real-time signals on pricing strategy.
