This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA A100 SXM4 GPU compute resources as measured on July 31, 2026. The market uses pricing data from Ornn's compute pricing index to determine whether the A100 SXM4's cost per hour falls within various price thresholds.
Resolution is based on the A100 SXM4 compute per hour value reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 31, 2026, using the USD iteration of the index. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the reported value exceeds its specified price threshold, with thresholds ranging from $0.52 to $1.47 per hour. Values are rounded to two decimal places. If no data is available by the expiration date, all outcomes excluding "No data" or "None" resolve to No. Post-expiration revisions to the underlying data are not considered.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-money bets rather than surveys or models. On this market, traders are directly wagering on whether compute pricing will stay below or break above the $0.82 threshold. Analyst reports on GPU pricing tend to focus on list prices and data-center demand trends, while prediction markets price in supply shocks, competition, and actual customer negotiations. Comparing the current odds to published analyst expectations on enterprise GPU costs can reveal where the market sees asymmetric risk—particularly around NVIDIA's pricing power and alternative accelerator adoption.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a binary contract where traders buy or sell shares representing "Yes" (price above $0.82) or "No" (price at or below $0.82). On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Share prices range from $0 to $1, and your profit or loss depends on the final outcome and your entry price. Kalshi's order-book model lets you set limit orders or take liquidity at the current spread, with real-time price discovery driven by supply and demand. The more traders believe the A100 will trade above that threshold, the higher the "Yes" share price climbs.
This market resolves around Aug 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The contract will settle based on whether the NVIDIA A100 SXM4 compute per-hour price is above or at/below $0.82 on that date. Resolution hinges on documented pricing from authoritative sources such as NVIDIA's official pricing, major cloud provider rate cards, or verified market data. Once the settlement date passes and pricing is confirmed, the platform will lock in the result and distribute winnings to holders of the correct outcome.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. NVIDIA earnings calls and product announcements often reset expectations around GPU supply and pricing power. Competitive launches from AMD, Intel, or custom silicon providers could pressure A100 rates downward. Cloud provider pricing updates—especially from AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure—directly signal real-world compute costs. Macroeconomic shifts, data-center capex cycles, and AI workload demand surges all influence enterprise GPU economics. Regulatory actions on export controls or supply-chain disruptions could also reshape the pricing landscape, making this market sensitive to both tech-sector news and geopolitical developments.
