This market will resolve according to the Close price for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) on the final day of trading of the week specified in the title (normally Friday). If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Closing prices will be used exactly as published by Pyth, without rounding. For a standard full trading session, the closing price refers to the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of regular trading hours on the primary exchange. If the relevant session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the Pyth "Close" value of the 1-minute candle corresponding to the final minute of that shortened session will be used. If the relevant day has no valid Pyth Close value for the 1-minute candle corresponding to the end of regular trading hours on the primary exchange, the market will use the last valid Pyth price achieved during the regular trading hours of the primary exchange as the effective closing price. If no valid Pyth price exists for that trading day due to a system outage, data failure, or other technical disruption, the official closing price published by the primary exchange on which the listed security trades will be used to determine the closing price for that day. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed security during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Pyth. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Pyth after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market will be Pyth, specifically the "Close" values for the relevant 1-minute candle for Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) available at https://pythdata.app/explore/Equity.US.MSFT%2FUSD.

Currently, prediction market odds offer a unique perspective compared to traditional analyst forecasts for Microsoft’s stock performance. While analysts typically provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd, aggregating diverse opinions and information. Discrepancies between the two can arise due to differing methodologies, biases, or access to information. It’s important to note that this market represents a probabilistic view of the closing price, rather than a single point estimate like many analyst predictions.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different potential MSFT closing prices. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that price occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of expectations. The market’s efficiency relies on informed traders and active participation, ensuring that prices accurately reflect available information.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the MSFT closing price for the week of October 12th is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final price will be determined by the official closing price reported by a major financial exchange. Traders who correctly predicted the closing price range will receive a payout proportional to their wager and the market’s odds at the time of their trade. The resolution process ensures transparency and objectivity in determining the market’s outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before its resolution. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports or product launches, are likely to cause price fluctuations. Broader economic news, including interest rate decisions or macroeconomic data releases, could also influence investor sentiment and subsequently move the market. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in the overall stock market trend could also play a role. Any news that alters perceptions of Microsoft’s future performance has the potential to shift the probabilities reflected in this market.
