Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-29T19:30:00Z

On Predict, the dashboard for the Microsoft stock market tracks the current odds of the stock going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have shifted over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $23, and the total volume traded to date, which is $23. The dashboard is designed to give traders a quick overview of the market’s dynamics.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts typically issue buy, sell, or hold recommendations based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders betting with real capital. This can lead to divergences, as market participants may weigh factors differently or have access to information not fully captured in standard analyst reports. It’s common to see this market anticipate movements before they are widely recognized by traditional financial media or analyst upgrades/downgrades.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Microsoft’s stock will be up or down during the specified period. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, and the closer we get to Oct 29, 2026, the more the price will likely move as new information becomes available and traders refine their predictions. The current market price indicates the probability of the 'Up' outcome.

This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 3:45 PM ET on October 29th is higher or lower than its price at 3:30 PM ET on the same day. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial exchange. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their prediction aligned with the actual price movement during that 15-minute window.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 29, 2026. Major company announcements from Microsoft, such as earnings reports, product launches, or significant partnership deals, would likely have a substantial impact. Broader economic news, including interest rate decisions, inflation data, or shifts in overall market sentiment, could also influence the stock price. Unexpected geopolitical events or industry-specific news affecting the technology sector could also introduce volatility and shift the odds in this market. Any news that alters investor perception of Microsoft’s future prospects is a potential catalyst.
