This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-29T16:00:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts frequently publish price targets and ratings based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders. These traders weigh a variety of factors, including news events, market sentiment, and their own individual insights. Discrepancies can arise when the market anticipates information not yet reflected in analyst reports or assigns different probabilities to known risks and opportunities related to Microsoft.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will close higher or lower by Oct 29, 2026. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a logarithmic scaling system to display probabilities, making it easier to compare the implied likelihood of different outcomes. Traders adjust their positions based on new information and changing market conditions, constantly refining the price.
This market resolves around Oct 29, 2026, with the outcome determined by whether the Microsoft stock price closes higher or lower during the specified 12PM-12:15PM ET timeframe on October 29th. The final price will be verified against credible public reporting from financial news sources. Traders will then receive payouts based on their positions – those who predicted correctly will profit, while those who predicted incorrectly will lose their stake. This timeframe is crucial for determining the outcome of this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 29, 2026. Major earnings announcements from Microsoft, unexpected economic data releases, and significant news regarding the technology sector could all influence trader sentiment. Changes in analyst ratings or price targets, as well as any unforeseen geopolitical events, could also play a role. Furthermore, any news related to Microsoft’s key products or services, such as Azure or Office 365, could impact the perceived likelihood of the stock going up or down during the specified timeframe.
