This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-27T19:45:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different outlook than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts frequently issue buy, sell, or hold recommendations based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their money where their mouths are. Discrepancies can arise due to differing time horizons, risk appetites, or access to information. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly than analyst reports, potentially leading to divergent perspectives on the future direction of Microsoft.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Microsoft’s stock will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders adjust their bids and asks based on new information, news events, and their own analysis, creating a dynamic pricing mechanism. The more traders believe Microsoft will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 3:45PM-4:00PM ET on October 27th is higher or lower than its price at the start of the trading day. The final price will be determined by a trusted source of financial data, ensuring an objective and transparent outcome. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their predictions aligned with the actual market movement.
Several signals and events could significantly move this market before Oct 27, 2026. Major earnings reports from Microsoft, significant announcements regarding new products or services, and broader economic news related to the tech sector are all potential catalysts. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in investor sentiment could also play a role. Any news that impacts the perceived future growth prospects of Microsoft, whether positive or negative, will likely influence trading activity and the resulting odds in this market. Keep an eye on financial news and company announcements for potential price movements.
