Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-22T18:00:00Z

On Predict, the dashboard for the Microsoft stock market tracks the current odds of the stock going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have changed over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $136, and the total overall volume of $136. This provides a real-time view of how traders are assessing the potential movement of Microsoft’s stock price leading up to the event. The dashboard is a key tool for understanding market sentiment.

Currently, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than many traditional analyst forecasts for Microsoft. While analysts often provide price targets and ratings based on fundamental analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders predicting a short-term directional move. Discrepancies can arise due to differing time horizons, risk appetites, and the incorporation of information not readily available in traditional analysis. It’s often insightful to compare the implied probability from this market with expert opinions to gain a more comprehensive view.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the crowd. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market constantly adapts to new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 2:15 PM ET on October 22nd is higher or lower than its price at 2:00 PM ET on the same day. The direction of the price change will determine which outcome is considered correct. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on their predictions.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Oct 22, 2026. Unexpected earnings announcements, major product releases from Microsoft, or significant news regarding competitors could all influence trader sentiment. Broader economic indicators, such as inflation reports or interest rate decisions, might also play a role. Additionally, any unforeseen geopolitical events or major shifts in market trends could impact the perceived likelihood of the stock moving up or down, leading to fluctuations in the market price.
