Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-19T18:15:00Z

On Predict, the dashboard for the Microsoft stock market tracks the current odds of the stock going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have shifted over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume, currently at $35, and the total volume traded to date, which is $35. The dashboard helps visualize market sentiment and potential price movements.

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may issue buy or sell recommendations based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are putting their money where their mouths are. Discrepancies can arise due to differing time horizons, risk tolerance, or access to information. It’s common to see prediction markets incorporate information more quickly than analyst reports, potentially offering an earlier signal of changing expectations for Microsoft. This market provides a unique data point alongside conventional financial analysis.

On Predict, this market is priced through a simple supply and demand mechanism. Traders buy 'yes' contracts if they believe the Microsoft stock will be up by the specified time, and 'no' contracts if they believe it will be down. The price of each contract fluctuates based on the buying and selling pressure. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy 'yes' contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing system that reflects the collective probability assessment of all participants. The current price essentially represents the market’s estimate of the likelihood of Microsoft’s stock increasing in value.

This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 2:30 PM ET on October 19th is higher or lower than its price at 2:15 PM ET on the same day. This short-term price movement is the focus of this prediction market, offering a quick snapshot of market sentiment during that specific timeframe. The final price will be sourced from a reputable financial data provider.

Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Unexpected earnings reports, major product announcements from Microsoft, or broader economic news impacting the tech sector could all influence trader sentiment. Any significant news related to Microsoft’s competitors, such as Apple or Amazon, could also have an effect. Additionally, shifts in overall market risk appetite, driven by factors like interest rate changes or geopolitical events, could impact this market. Traders will be closely monitoring these factors and adjusting their positions accordingly, leading to price fluctuations.
