This market will resolve to "Up" if the MU/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MU/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MU/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/mu-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MU/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-22T18:00:00Z

Currently, the collective wisdom of traders on Predict offers a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts for Micron. While analysts often provide point estimates or ranges, this market aggregates a probability distribution reflecting uncertainty. If analysts are generally bullish on Micron, you might see a higher implied probability of the stock closing up in this market than if they are bearish. However, prediction markets can sometimes incorporate information that isn’t yet reflected in analyst reports, leading to divergences in outlook.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Micron stock will close up or down. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market efficiently incorporates new information as it becomes available, meaning the odds can shift rapidly based on news, earnings reports, or broader market trends. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the closing price of Micron stock on October 22nd between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM ET will determine whether the market settles in favor of ‘Up’ or ‘Down’. The resolution will be based on publicly available financial data and reported by trusted financial news sources. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on their predictions.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Major catalysts include Micron’s quarterly earnings reports, any significant announcements regarding new product launches or partnerships, and broader macroeconomic factors impacting the semiconductor industry. Unexpected news regarding supply chain disruptions, changes in demand for memory chips, or shifts in competitor strategies could also influence trading activity. Positive news generally increases the probability of ‘Up’, while negative news tends to favor ‘Down’.
