This market will resolve to "Up" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the META/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/meta-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink META/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-23T16:30:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may issue buy or sell recommendations based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the wisdom of the crowd, aggregating diverse opinions and information. Discrepancies can arise due to differing methodologies, biases, or access to information. It’s common to see this market anticipating events before they are reflected in mainstream analyst ratings, or conversely, discounting information that analysts deem significant. Comparing the two provides a broader view of potential outcomes.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Meta stock will close up or down. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contract will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Meta Platforms, Inc. stock price closed higher or lower than its opening price on October 23rd, between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM Eastern Time. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be paid out based on their positions in the market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before Oct 23, 2026. Major news announcements related to Meta, such as quarterly earnings reports, new product launches, or changes in leadership, are likely to cause price fluctuations. Broader economic indicators, including inflation data, interest rate decisions, and overall market sentiment, could also play a role. Unexpected geopolitical events or shifts in regulatory policies impacting the technology sector could also move this market. Any information perceived as positive or negative for Meta’s future prospects will be quickly reflected in trading activity.
