Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the META/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the META/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/meta-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink META/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-23T14:45:00Z

Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the Meta stock market tracks the current odds of the stock going up or down, along with a price history chart showing how those odds have shifted over time. You’ll also find the 24-hour trading volume displayed, indicating how much activity there has been in this market recently. Currently, the volume is $624, and the total volume is $631. This information helps traders understand market sentiment and make informed decisions about their predictions.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often incorporating information and analysis that may not be fully captured in traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts provide specific price targets and ratings, this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders, potentially leading to a different assessment of Meta’s future performance. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, as markets can react more quickly to new information and incorporate a wider range of perspectives than a limited number of analyst reports.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Meta stock will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the crowd. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the ‘up’ contract, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and trading activity.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Meta Platforms, Inc. stock price is higher or lower than its price at 10:45 AM - 11:00 AM ET on October 23rd. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider, ensuring an objective and transparent determination of the market’s outcome.

Several factors could significantly impact this market before Oct 23, 2026. Major earnings reports from Meta, announcements regarding new products or features (especially in the metaverse or AI), and any significant changes in regulatory scrutiny could all cause substantial shifts in trader sentiment. Broader macroeconomic trends, such as interest rate changes or overall market volatility, could also play a role. Unexpected news regarding key personnel changes within Meta, or significant competitive pressures from other tech companies, are additional catalysts to watch.
